Gichin Funakoshi is known as "the Father of Modern Karate-do" due in part to his tireless efforts to introduce and streamline karate teachings in the public schools of Japan. Through these efforts karate knowledge and practices have spread throughout the world. This book is worth reading even if you are not a practioner of karate-do.
